Military Schools in Connecticut

The military academy in Connecticut was started in 1876 and the campus was set up in 1890. Alexander Hamilton created a military force to guard surrounding areas of the United States. At the beginning, training was held at sea and by 1910 the school was related from Curtis Bay to Maryland, Connecticut. The Connecticut military academy holds a distinguished honor in the state. The US coast guard academy operated by the US federal government offers free tuition fee to students who are interested to pursue career in  the armed forces. After completing graduation the cadets have to serve five years in the coast guard and the campus is located on Thanes river. The military academy offers four year degree program and the subjects include engineering, operational research, marine and environmental science, government and management. Along with academic subjects the students have to take part in military training programs. In summer, advanced military programs are conducted for cadets. The military academy creates 1^st class cadets through training and teaching academic subjects.  

The United States Coast Guard Academy in Connecticut was established in 1876. The academy offers various university courses and officer training to the students and almost 300 students takes admission each year. The coast guard guard academy was originally located in New Bedford and by 1932, the school changed its current location on the bank of the Thames river near New London, Connecticut. The school operates for duty tall ships in the US military and this ship was obtained from Germany in 1947 after World War II. To get admission in coast guard academy the students have to be physically fit with high academic records. During summer, the cadets have to perform  on deck training and standard military training principles.  

West Hill High School JROTC, Connecticut is a perfect place for those students who wants to pursue career as an army junior reserve officer. The cadets are seen marching in local parades and their drill team is one of the best in that region. The military rank structure and leadership skills  motivates students to gain success and to get promotion to higher rank.

Students joining this academy are trained discipline with leadership quality to gain success in their life. The students are provided options to join additional JROTC affiliated clubs. The JROTC program encourages each student to achieve success.
